1.教材分析
1.对教材的分析:
1)本单元是九年制义务课程标准实验教科书《新目标英语》七年级下册中第九单元,本单元的核心话题是谈论人的外表形象,日常生活中,我们经常要向别人描述人物,如我们所熟悉的人物的身高、发型、胖瘦等,本单元将学习以上内容。
2.学情分析
本单元的话题是描述人物的外部特征。新目标教材设计是由易到难,由浅入深,以滚雪球的方式编排的。有以前知识作为基垫,本单元学生接受起来就更加的容易些。在本单元,所设计的各项活动都是学生在老师的指导下,在真实的语言环境中体会语言、运用语言、感受语言、品语言进而创造性的运用语言,表达自己的思想。对学生的知识,能力及情感价值观均会得到更高水平的提升。
3.教学目标(含重难点)
知识与技能:
1) 能掌握以下单词: curly, straight, tall, medium, thin, heavy, build, glasses,tall,short
能掌握以下句型:
—What does he look like?
—He’s of medium/build.
—What does he look like?
—She has long straight hair.
—Is he tall or short?
过程与方法:Practicing, Listening and Role playing methods.
情感态度与价值观:让学生学会友好、客观地描述人的形象。
教学重点:掌握单词,熟练掌握描述人的形象的句型。
教学难点:
1)描述头发时形容词的排列顺序:长短+形状+颜
2)掌握描述人的形象的句型。

Ⅰ. Warming-up and revision
Good morning boys and girls.How are you?
一、Lead in导入
T: First,we divided into four groups to see which group performed best today.
Before the class.Let’s watch a video about me.
运用视频剪辑视频,之后进行播放。(播放一段介绍自己的视频,引出本课的话题。)
Ⅱ Learn new words
T:Think about a question.How to describe a person? We will learn in three ways.What does he look like?
Ss:Height:He is tall.He is short,.He is of medium height.
Build:He is thin.He is heavy.
Hair:She has long/short hair.
She has curly/straight hair.
She has black/brown/blonde hair.
Look at the picture,say together.
强调:主语 +have/has 长短+形状+颜  hair.
通过卡通人物图片引入,通过图文结合让学生学习新单词,吸引学生的注意力。(从身高、体型、头发三个方面进行学习,通过学生熟悉的漫画学习新单词。)
Ⅲ Game(Who am I)
Look at the sentence and guess the picture.Let’s have a race,which group is faster.
(1) I am old. I have big blue eyes and short grey hair.
(2) I have curly black hair, a big nose and a small beard.
(3) She has long curly blonde hair.
(4) I have short straight blonde hair.
(5) I have long straight hair and big blue eyes.
(6) I have short straight black hair and big eyes.
插入游戏环节,看12幅图,选择正确或出现对钩标志,选择错误会出现错误标志。小组比拼看哪一小组回答率最高。
ⅣPractice
Now,can you describe a person.Do a practice.What does she/he look like?
For example:
T: Look at the first picture. Who is he /she?
Ss:He /She is …
T: What does he /she look like?
Ss: He/She has curly hair. What does curly mean? Do you know?

利用多媒体展示明星照片,先从身高、体重和发型三个方面分别操练新单词和新句型。通过观察明星图片,用多媒体课件展示图片让学生练习描述人物的外貌特征。
V. Presentation and Listening
Match the words with the people in the picture. (1a)
学习课本的第一部分P49,1a先看图片,然后搭配图片和相关的外貌特征的词。
Now please look at P49, Use the letters to match the people in the picture with one of the numbered words. Write each letter next to a numbered word. You can use some letters more than once. Point out the sample answer. (Keys: c, f, a, a, d, h, e, b, g, e)

Check the answer and read it together.

听说结合,第一时间向学生传达语言目标,通过结对对话练习,使语言目标得以强化。本课时的教学目的是让学生用所学的知识谈论明星的外貌。通过让学生听录音和编对话,锻炼学生的听、说能力。并通过读、写相结合的教学方式巩固重点知识,既加深了学生对如何描述他人外貌的理解,又提升了学生的写作能力。
