一、教材与学情分析
本节课的上课内容选自牛津英语8A Unit 5 阅读部分Look it up中的Disney, Walt部分。 本单元的阅读部分由三篇选自百科全书的文章组成，三篇文章之间相互并无关联，为了让学生对百科全书这样的工具书有所了解，我把三篇文章放在百科全书这个大背景下分别进行教授。本堂课，我选了其中的第三篇，因此，这也是本章节的第三课时，定位是课文教学，并通过文本阅读活动以及听说练习，对学生进行语言运用能力的训练，目的是提高学生的阅读能力和语言运用能力。
我们学校是一所农村学校，学生大都来自农村以及外来务工子女，英语基础比较薄弱，尤其是在英语发音上问题较大，现在经过一段时间的纠正已经有所改观。班中男生比较活跃，课堂参与积极性比较高；女生比较内敛，参与课堂活动的主动性不够。由于我平时注重英语学习兴趣的培养，学生对于英语学习有一定的积极性，但是，口语表达能力较差，特别是语言表述的流利性和准确度都较为欠缺。
二、教学方法与理念
本节课本着牛津教材以学生发展为主的教学理念，运用任务型教学法进行组织教学。通过pre-reading，while-reading和 post-reading三个阶段，设计不同的阅读理解任务，帮助学生理解课文，同时，通过对课文线索和框架的梳理，让学生在理解课文大意的基础上，开展语言训练。另外，还引用了Walt本人所说过的三句话作为补充，对文本进行适度拓展，加深学生对课文和人物的理解。整个过程建立在让学生在已知的基础上学习未知，从激发学生兴趣入手，激活学生有关背景知识，进入课文学习，阅读活动的设置循序渐进，并最后落实到语言的应用。为了提高课堂语言教学的有效性，达到提高学生的语言综合运用能力的目的，本节课的设计主要考虑了以下几个方面。
首先，语言学习注重实践性。本着“语言的交际性”这一课堂教学原则，在教学中，要结合学生的年龄特点和生活实际，为学生创设了语言操练和运用的情景。在本堂课中，我设计了“为做导游做准备”这样一个活动，让学生利用获得的信息和语言知识进行交际。同时，以翻阅百科全书的形式使整个教学过程围绕着一个鲜明的主线和情景展开，一方面为了让学生对百科全书有所了解，将来能够学以致用，另一方面，情景化的教学也会让学生更有兴趣。
其次，活动设计注重适切性。本堂课强调对学生阅读理解能力和语言组织能力的培养，所有的活动设计都围绕这一目标展开，并充分考虑到学生的基础和课文的特点。在课文阅读过程中，根据学生的认知规律和阅读的本义，让学生通过粗读和细读，先领会文章段落大意，渐而达到对课文的整体理解。 为了让学生理清文章主旨和线索，我根据不同的段落内容，设计了不同的阅读理解活动，比如：回答问题；完成表格；完成对话等。然后，让学生在理解的基础上，让学生跟着录音朗读，加强学生对文本的整体意识，也让他们有机会再一次沉浸于文本中，为最后的“导游介绍”环节做好铺垫。整节课将学生的个别活动、对子活动和小组活动有机地结合起来，为学生创造语言运用的机会，调动学生参与课堂的积极性，切实提高学生内化吸收所学知识的效率，让每一个学生都在语言输出环节都能“有言有语”。
再次，语言教学注重文化性。语言和文化是密不可分的，在英语教学中要注意导入英语国家的文化内容。在课文的导入部分，我结合学生的认知水平和兴趣，利用迪士尼乐园的主题曲以及乐园的一些图片作为主题引入，吸引学生的注意力，并借此引入对有关文化背景的介绍。在教学时，我对教材进行了补充。在解读每一段文本之后，我引用迪士尼的话，语言简练却又让人深思，引导学生真正了解迪斯尼这个人物以及他创造的乐园和米老鼠，同时在情感上产生共鸣。
另外，采取多媒体辅助教学。课件中包含课文和从网络下载的相关图片，生动形象。同时，一些ppt制作效果会给学生以深刻的感官形象，诱发他们的兴趣，同时还能使他们对事物很快地形成正确的概念。
三、期望体现的教学特点和达到的目标。
在本堂课中，我希望我的学生能在轻松的学习氛围中，通过所设计的课堂学习活动进行阅读活动和语言操练，扎实地学好本课内容。经过这堂课的教学，我期望我的学生能掌握文中所出现的生词；能理解所学的课文大意；并能够较流利地运用所学内容和老师拓展内容讲述有关华特·迪斯尼的主要情况；并且，能在阅读、解决问题和完成任务的过程中，不断提高他们自身的阅读能力、表达能力和思维能力。同时也期待他们在情感上能和主人公产生共鸣，并产生为着自己的未来努力不懈的决心！相信通过我们师生共同的努力，能够达到良好的教学效果。
