The Necessity of Mental Health Education for College Students
Nowadays, many colleges and universities have been offering mental health classes to their students. Besides, many teachers majoring in this field are also ready to provide psychological consultation.
The cause of such a phenomenon lies in the fact that an increasing number of college students have mental problems. Most students are under heavy pressure caused by their study or social life. What’s worse, the fierce competition in the employment market poses a more threatening danger to those who are going to graduate. All those factors contribute to some students’mental burden and trouble. Therefore, mental health education is of vital importance to college students.
With such mental health education, students are better able to cope with the difficulties and stress in college life. When they are in trouble, they may turn to experts for help; when they
are confused, they may seek psychological cosultation; when they are depressed with too much strain, they may talk with others to relieve their heavy mental load. In a word, mental health education provides students with a means to tackle various mental problems through which they release their mental pressure in a healthy and harmless manner.
Personally, I am a strong proponent of mental health education. According to me, not only is it necessary and important, it is also beneficial to the students’ overall development. With both a healthy body and sound mind, college students are more likely to challenge all hardships and cultivate healthy lifestyles and positive outlook in their whole life.
Graduate T alent “Village Officials”
In recent years, the employment situation in China has become increasingly severe and competitive. In order to cope with this issue, the central government has called on college graduates to go to the rural areas to serve as village officials.
There is no denying that this policy has very constructive influences on both the graduate t
alents and the society. For one thing, it alleviates the employment pressure in the society. For another, it is beneficial for the development of the rural regions in the country. Those college graduates, with their rich knowledge, strong body and innovative spirit, will definitely help promote the growth of the villages economically and culturally as well. What is more, the program will also furnish college graduates with practical work experience and enable them to be more mature socially.
In conclusion, I am firm in my belief that being a village official benefits the college graduates and does good to the society at the same time. On one hand, the students can make full use of their advantages and develop themselves by working as village officials. On the other hand, it will no doubt stimulate the rural development, giving villagers more opportunities to get rich and prosper. Were I granted such a chance, I would not hesitate to join in the team.

Dear Mr. President,

not only delicious but also cheaper food.

suggest that there be some soft music to help us relax.
Those presented suggestions are not just of my own, but also of many other students. We
hope our respectable president will pay attention to our suggestions (and take effective measures to deal with the problem).
By the way, the canteen workers are very patient and always smiling. So I think if our
university offers them better conditions, they will offer us better service.
