The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, holds a special place in the hearts of Chinese people. It is a time of reunion, a time to gather with family and enjoy the bright moon in the sky. This year's Mid-Autumn Festival was particularly meaningful for me, as I spent the entire day with my parents, relishing the warmth and joy of family.
Early in the morning, the sun was just peeking through the horizon, casting a gentle glow on our home. My parents and I woke up with a smile, eager to embark on our special day. We began by preparing a traditional Mid-Autumn Festival breakfast. While my mother skillfully kneaded the dough for mooncakes, my father and I set the table with various delicacies such as sweet rice cakes, fruits, and tea. The aroma of the freshly baked mooncakes filled the air, bringing a sense of festivity to our humble abode.
