The Enchantment of the Mid-Autumn Festival
As a primary school student, I cherish the Mid-Autumn Festival more than any other festival throughout the year. It's not just because of the delicious mooncakes or the bright, round moon that shines down upon us, but also because of the warmth and joy it brings to my family and me.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, falls on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar. It's a time for family reunions, much like Christmas in the West. On this special night, families gather together to admire the moon, share stories, and enjoy a delicious meal.
The moon on this day is particularly round and bright, symbolizing completeness and unity. It's said that if you look closely, you can even see the silhouette of a rabbit and a godsend girl named Chang'e on the moon. These legends add a magical touch to the festival, making it even more enchanting.
Before the festival, families usually prepare for it by buying mooncakes and other delicacies. Mooncakes are round pastries with a variety of fillings, symbolizing completeness and reunion. On the day of the festival, we place the mooncakes on a table along with fruits, candies, and incense. Then, we bow to the moon, offering our prayers and wishes for a prosperous and happy life.
After the moon gazing, we gather around the table and enjoy a sumptuous meal. The dishes are usually rich and delicious, with my favorite being the fish and crab dishes. The warmth and laughter of the family fill the air, making me feel incredibly happy and content.
After dinner, we continue to enjoy the moon and chat. Sometimes, my parents will tell me stories about the Mid-Autumn Festival, making me even more fascinated by this festival. I especially love hearing about Chang'e and the rabbit, their story always captures my imagination.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is not just a festival of food and moon gazing; it's also a festival of family and love. It's a time for us to appreciate the bonds of family and the joy of being to

As a primary school student, I cherish these moments with my family. The Mid-Autumn Festival brings me so much happiness and warmth, and I look forward to it every year. I hope that this festival will always be as enchanting and special as it is now, and that I can continue to share these wonderful moments with my family for many years to come.
