Unit 2: Seasons
Seasons are the different times of the year that have different weather and temperatures. There are four seasons: spring, summer, autumn/fall, and winter.
Spring
Spring is the season of new beginnings. The weather gets warmer, flowers bloom, and trees start to grow new leaves. The days get longer and we start to see more sunshine. It’s a great time to be outside and enjoy nature.
Summer
Summer is the season of sunshine and warmth. The weather is hot and people dress in light clothes. It’s the perfect time to go to the beach, swim in pools, and have fun outdoors. Children have summer vacation and can spend more time playing with friends and family.

Autumn/Fall
Autumn, also known as fall, is the season of change. The weather starts to get cooler, leaves change color, and fall from the trees. We harvest crops like apples and pumpkins. It’s a beautiful time of the year with lots of color and wonderful smells.
Winter
Winter is the season of cold and snow. We wear warm clothes, hats, and gloves to keep ourselves cozy. Some people enjoy playing in the snow, building snowmen, and having snowball fights. It’s also the time of the year when we celebrate holidays like Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
No matter which season it is, there are always fun things to do and enjoy. Each season is unique and special in its own way.
