驿外断桥边， 寂寞开无主。已是黄昏独自愁, 更著风和雨。
无意苦争春， 一任芳妒。
愚蠢的拼音零落成泥碾作尘,
只有香如故。陆游（1125—1210）—生酷爱梅花，写有大量歌咏梅花的诗词，《卜算子•咏梅》便是陆游歌咏梅花的 代表之作。
词的上阕写了梅花的困难处境，整个环境冷落、凄凉（为了表现“驿外断桥边”这样的环境和意境, 许渊冲选择了用地点状语作开头。“断桥”译作“the  broken  bridge ”，“驿”译作“the  post  hall ”，同时为了 实现译文的音韵美，“边”选用了 “beside ”，“外”选用了 “outside ”，都是押尾韵“side ”。“已是黄昏独自愁， 更著风和雨”，许先生为了翻译岀原词冷、凄凉的意境，使用了 “by ”引导的 ，同时用到了 I 结构“solitude ”和“wind  and  rain ”，一个是内心的孤独，一-个是外界的风雨。“saddened  ”运用拟人的手法， 赋予梅花寂寞的情感。
词的下阕写梅花 的灵魂及生死观——不争芳，化泥留香。“零落成泥碾作尘，只有香如故”
是作者对梅花最好的赞赏（许渊冲译为 “Fallen  in  mud  and  ground  to  dust, she  seems  no  more, but  her  fragrance  is  still  the  same.”。许渊冲为了达到“意美”的效果，
了“but ”这样的转折词，使前后两句的
更加明确，同时“fallen ”的选用和上阕中的“saddened ”形成结构的对应，都是用
词开头，实现了“形美”。这首咏梅词不见“梅”字，却处处传“梅”之神韵，作者以梅自喻，托物言志。同时，译者许渊冲也从 “三美论”的角度实现了对《卜算子•咏梅》的完美
