Good morning, respected professors. I’m so glad to have been shortlisted for this interview. My name is Li Mengmeng(姓名). I am 21(年龄) years old and I come from Jinan, the capital of Shangdong province(家乡).
In 2017, I entered Beijing Normal University(本科院校), majoring in Education(本科专业). Generally speaking, I have been diligent in my undergraduate studies(本科情况). During my four years’ study, I have passed the College English Test Band 4 and National Computer Rank Examination Band 2(证书). Also I was granted scholarships(获奖/奖学金) three years in a row. In addition to my academics, I have actively participated in various on-campus as well as off-campus extracurricular activities(课外活动/实习经验), such as speech contests and sports meetings. However what impressed me the most was my volunteering English-teaching experience in rural area. V olunteering at the New Hope Primary School has taught me how to interact with people and effectively cooperate with others. This rewarding experience has definitely made me a better person and made me even more determined in pursuing further in Education as a postgraduate student.
Despite the fact that I have learned my major for four years, my knowledge of this field is still at a superficial level, which is why I decided to further study in Education. I hope a three-year study here(未来展望) will deepen my understanding of education philosophies and theories by forming a systematic view and lay a solid foundation for my future career.
