Qixi
On the Magpie Bridge, there is a cassia tree, under which three fairies reside.
On the night of the Lantern Festival, a countless number of mountains separates two places.
The mountains seem like a screen, opening and closing, while the water resembles a curtain, rolling up and down.
At any given moment, in any given minute, there is great joy across thousands of miles.
A gust of wind on Qixi night, the magpies cross the universe like birds.
Long feathers transform into wings, and several leaves become tools.
May I ask where you are from? Crossing the river, to the initial place, is it your intention?
This poem is from the Book of Celebration of Classic Civilization, which brings delight throughout the long night.
