Example
• In one voyage charterparty, the loading time in loading port is stipulated as “3 weather working days, Sundays and holidays excepted” and discharging time as “4 weather working days, Sundays and holidays excepted”;
• If NOR is surrendered before 12:00 am, laytime will start from 1:00 pm; if NOR is surrendered between 12:01 am and 6:00 pm, laytime will start from 8:00 am next day;
• Demurrage rate: USD 800/DAY;
• Despatch rate: USD 400/DAY;
• Both in loading and discharging ports, the time from 6:00 pm the day before Sundays or holidays to 8:00 am the day after Sundays or holidays will not be counted into laytime.

1. Please calculate the demurrage money and despatch money respectively. The rule for demurrage is “once on demurrage, always on demurrage” and for despatch is “laytime saved”.
2. If the loading and discharging time is counted totally and the laytime limit in charterparty is “7 weather working days, Sundays and holidays excepted”, please calculate the demurrage or despatch money.
3. If the laytime in loading port and discharging port is reversible, please calculate demurrage money or despatch money.
