教学过程 | Step1, Warming up and lead in 1. Sing a song: Letter A Have the students sing the song together and do the actions. 2. Try to read Have the students try to read the given words with the sound of short A and A with magic E. 3. Enjoy the video of Alphablocks Letter A can’t find his name. He is very sad. His friends letter Y and I come to help him to make to new sound of long A. Elicit the title after the video. 【设计意图：学生通过英文歌曲热身，尽快进入到英语学习的状态，唱歌的同时也复习了字母A的发音。歌曲后通过拼读带有字母A的单词，复习字母A的短音和a-e的组合发音。复习过后通过视频引入今天的要讲的新内容。】 Step2, Presentation and practice 1. Show the vowel pair ay and learn the sound. Have the students read vowel pair ay group by group. Remind the students pay more attention on the pronunciation. 【设计意图：通过组与组的练习巩固ay的读音，帮助学生记忆字母组合ay的发音。】 1. Learn two new words with ay: play, hay. Guide the students to find out the sounds of new words. 2.Practice the words with a chant and a game. Chant: Jay, Jay, Jay. Play, play, play. Jay and Fay play in the hay. Game: Have the students work in group to spell the consonant with vowel pair ay.
